Born Paul Krohn in Utica, New York, Tyrone is a 1979
graduate of Geneseo State University, where he received
a degree in Education.
In 1981, Tyrone quit teaching and took a job at the
late, great Grossinger's Resort. At Grossinger's, Tyrone
worked with the legendary Simon Says Master, Lou
Goldstein.
While
at Grossinger's, Tyrone skipped rope with many great
sports figures, including boxing legend, Evander
Holyfield, and baseball great, Cal Rikpen, Jr.
In 1984, Tyrone made the first of several appearances
on the Regis Philbin show. In 1985, he established a new
world's record by skipping 8,320 turns in one hour live
with Regis!

Tyrone loved Grossinger's, and he never missed a day
of work until the day the hotel closed its doors in
1986.

In
1986, Tyrone found a new home at the beautiful Kutsher's
Resort Hotel and Country Club, where he continues to
serve as chief tumler. From "Simon Says" to
Trivia Shows to jump rope and ping pong exhibitions,
Tyrone continues to give his all to entertain the guests
and make their stay a memorable one.
While working at Kutsher's, Tyrone also tours
nationally, performing extensively at schools, colleges,
conventions, resorts, and all kinds of parties. He is a
physical fitness buff and advocate for Jump Rope for
Heart, which has introduced millions of youngsters to
the benefits and joys of physical fitness.
